On June 3, 2019, pupils of 2.B and 3.B classes took part in the Supertrieda Regional Competition. They got 2nd place and continued to the Slovak round to Bratislava. We traveled to Bratislava 21.6. 2019. It was very difficult, but we represented the school with honor. We have received a special award for real-life topics. Congratulations to the beginning actors, dancers and singers. We are all proud and proud of all.Family OlympicsOn June 19, 2019, pupils of 2.B and 3.B classes, together with their teachers, organized a wonderful sports afternoon for their parents. Everything started with the ignition of the Olympic flame, the carrying of the flag and the festive Olympic promises. In a pleasant sunny weather to our school on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, a fencing-theater cumpan from Central Slovakia called "Via historica" with its unforgettable performance "Journey through Slavic History". It offered us a stylized history of history in which it presented the history of our territory from the Slavs and the Avar raids to Juraj Jánošík.First and second graders had the opportunity to see period costumes, historical weapons and fencing in humorous theater scenes, while learning the historical facts of our national history. The audience was most appreciated by the interactive participation in the program itself, for which they received considerable applause.All involved were well entertained and also learned something. Thank you "Via historica".Pupils of the 4th grade went for a school trip to Piešťany. They sailed on the Váh River, then moved to Smolenice by bus and visited the Driny cave. In this hot season, it was a very pleasant chill, as only 7C was standing in the cave. MDD celebrated 1st grade students untraditionally. They attended the Children's Day of Science under the name of Jump into Science, organized by UKF in Nitra. At different locations, children became small scientists and in an interesting way they got to know the world around us.On June 7, 2019 prepared IX.B for the I.A Games in English. We thank everyone who was involved. A few permons crossed our way, but we finally found the way out of the pit :)June 1, 2019 - We celebrated the International Children's Day by visiting the film show at CINEMAX Nitra. First grade students watched "How to Train Your Dragon 3", VEDET science day, organized by UKF Nitra and 2nd grade students to watch Mia and White Lion. After the film, many pupils went to ice cream or to the park. At school, each pupil got a few sweets. It was a really beautiful sunny day, full of childhood joy :)

On May 28, 2019, a pleasant meeting of IX.A and I.B took place in the language classroom.
Nice activities in English were prepared for children by and skilful girls and boys that drew a poster with vocabulary that they learnt in the first class and devised one social game by which I.B can test their knowledge of English. The meeting was full of laughter and good mood. You can see the video and the photo on the school's website. Thank you to all that participated in this project.
Pupils of 2.B and 3.B classes took part in School of nature in Dudince in Pension u Mlynárky. Our expectations have been fulfilled and enriched with a wealth of pleasant experiences, activities, new friends. We have had a lot of beautiful experiences to remember for a long time.Pupils of IV.C class were involved in the Read to read competition. This year, the 19th year of this competition was held, which is organized by the Karol Kmeťka Regional Library in Nitra. Pupils from 2nd to 4th grade competed. Their task was to visit the library once a month, to know how to navigate it, to attend one lesson of different orientation during the visit, and 4 pupils can read the contents of the book each time they visited the library. They kept a reader's diary carefully and got points from October to May for everything. Finally, our quads won a nice 3rd place. Readers of the class became Sarah Leila Palkovičová. Look at the photo album ...On May 17, 2019, IV.C class students attended a discussion with writer Adriana Poláková Šinka. The writer comes from Bratislava and came to talk with her son Julian and the dog Ricki. The children overwhelmed her with a number of curious questions, they learnt that the writer was writing not only for children but also for adults. She was inspired by her son and has already written two books on their dog Ricki - Little King of Dogs Ricki and Ricki's Adventures. We have read together the fantasy book Slimi Slam, which is about to be continued. The discussion was very interesting and nice words from the writer encouraged children to read and especially to develop their imagination. The meeting was organized by the Regional Library of K. Kmeťka in Nitra. See photo album ...On Sunday, May 12, 2019, the first Holy Communion of the third year of our school was celebrated. It is the start to a new stage of Christian life. This was preceded by a rigorous preparation within the hours of religious education and on Sunday children's holy masses. It was a beautiful and precious day for children and their families, but also for our school. On May 9, 2019, pupils of the 1st and 2nd grades, on the occasion of Mother's Day, prepared a performance for their mothers. Pupils of dance clubs were also introduced.The classical handmade paper production has been restored in Slovakia after more than a century break. PETRUS PAPIER sro is a unique manufactory that deals with the manual production of paper without wood pulp processing. The main raw material in the production is cotton, which increases its durability. The company showed the process of creating the paper to the 3rd grade students. Children also learnt a lot about the predecessors of today's paper, papyrus and parchment. And not only that, we have made this beautiful paper ourselves. Awesome!!!On May 6, 2019, pupils of the 4th year visited the most modern interactive entertainment and educational information center Energoland in Mochovce. There are 33 interactive sections that provide all the necessary information about different energies. On their use, on the positives and negatives of individual methods of electricity generation. An interesting feature is the 3D cinema with its own film Odyssey of Energy, a model of a zero emission motorcycle, an interactive LED floor or a thermal mirror. Through the Energy Map, you can search for various interesting facts and statistics that are directly mapped to the world map with the countries marked. As part of the Circle of Cooking, Baking, Table, we attended a national show with the children - The Young Creator. At the same time, the nice weather tempted us for a tasty ice cream. :)

On March 28, 2019, the district of Technical Minimum was held in Domino Nitra. Our school in their categories was represented by students III.B Nella Opršalová and Natália Ivanová , Perla Sztojková from IV.A Natalia Gancarčik from IV.C. Girls competed with their beautiful products, but they did not get any prizes. All the contestants were 34. We thank the girls and wish them a lot of creative moments!
On March 22, 2019, a chemistry Olympics round took place in Jelenec, where our pupils Laura Kiková, Adam Chobot and Vivien Szóradová also took part. All three have become successful solvers. Congratulations!

On March 13, 2019, pupils of the 3rd and 4th grades attended a demonstration of first aid provision presented to them by secondary school pupils. They tried to make a stabilized or anti-shock position, learned when to use them, learned how to carry injured people. On the manikin they tried artificial respiration and heart massage. DECEMBER
The last school day in 2018 was in the spirit of Christmas holidays. The pupils gave each other gifts, sang Christmas carols, and enjoyed a Christmas cakes and tea. In all classes, there was a Christmas atmosphere and everyone wished Happy and Merry Christmas and a lot of health, happiness, love and success!
On 19 December 2018, a school round was held in the presentation of the Slovak Legend "Šaliansky Maťko".In II. category 4th - 5th year. Barbora Jezova IV.B was placed in 1st place, 2nd place was occupied by Sofia Kubeková IV.C and Johanna Kmeťová IV finished in third place. A. On 11/12/ 2018 under the guidance of Mrs. S. Kikova, M. Bull and Mrs. assistant Z. Imrišková, children took part in Christmas decorations of honeymen. At the same time, pupils could enjoy a Christmas punch and enjoy a nice pre-Christmas atmosphere :)
Tuesday 11 December was the sign of the Christmas Fair. From the morning, a pleasant Christmas atmosphere spread throughout the school. The pupils were selling and buying some sweet Christmas cakes, the smell of honey and the Christmas punch was irresistible to everyone who came.

International cooperation with Turkey :)
Pupils from 7th-9th class took part in an international cooperation with the Turkish private school in Istanbul. The children sent them the cards and the letters in which they introduced themselves and they are eagerly waiting for answers from Turkish friends. The project involves teachers Kmeťová and Vogelová. Learning through experience
Quarter passed and 2.B class pupils took part in an experiential learning that we have spent together on mathematics, Slovak language and literature, primacy, art, physical and musical education. Together with Danka and Janka, we've been collecting in our classroom, with Dog and Mačka wearing sliced panties and chewing a cake class. We did a healthy diet. With a smile on our face, we remembered the International Day of Smile, and we had fun with our classmates 3.B at the Halloween party and remembered the Remembrance of the Deceased. We contented with 2.C on the Day of Sports. We are proud of our classmate Viktorko Vykoukal, who joined the competition with Adamko for the most beautiful holiday photo and won. He was also involved in the history competition with Topoľníček, where he won great prizes. Congratulations! As a whole team, we have joined the contest Read us. Hold us your thumbs :)
19.11.2018 we were successfully represented by the 9.B Tomas Hadek, Filip Fordos and Ľuboš Baranec, who took the 7th-12th place at the Table -Tennis Championships. Thank you for your exemplary representation.
On Friday, November 16, 2018, pupils of the VI.A class participated at the Vysoká hora festival, where they had the opportunity to see interesting films with environmental themes eg. Unfavorable Annapurna, or a film by Erik Balaj, a famous ecologist, Life in the Clouds. Lastly, the presentation was presented - The birds of prey of Slovakia, which also involved a small quiz at the end.

On Friday, November 16, 2018, V.A's pupils attended a commented tour at the Ponitrian Museum in Nitra. In addition to standing expositions, Nitra in the mirror of history, the jewels of ancient Slovakia, or life in forest and aquatic habitats, also saw the exhibition of documents. The "rediscovered" archive of the city of Nitra - comes from the collections of the archive fund and the exhibited papers were dated from the year. 1632 - 1922. This exhibition was dedicated to the 770th anniversary of the granting of royal privileges to the city of Nitra. The pupils had a number of questions, especially about the way our ancestors lived. But they were also interested in animals living in our territory. Many of them only saw pictures or only read about them. We closed a pleasant and instructive afternoon before we shared a photo in front of the museum.

Second-year pupils attended an excursion at the Atlantis Center in Levice on 15 November. For the unforgettable experience, not only did the interactive exercises but also the experiential learning in Life in Space and the World of Dinosaurs. Together, we found ourselves in the universe on all the planets, we learned about the constellation's interest, many of us took to the life of the cosmonauts, tried the weightless condition and the ship Apollo Nasa. In the world of dinosaurs, we have changed to explorers, paleontologists and tried to live in caves. We've taken contests, games like the Bubble World, Educational Puzzles, Natural Games Room. We played the builders. Featuring experiences, memories and new knowledge, we happily returned home.
OCTOBER
On Monday, October 29, 2018, 9th year students took part in an excursion to the Holocaust Museum in Sereď. They took a lecture on the life of children during World War II, as their peasants lived in the Holocaust period in Slovakia, but also in the war Europe presented by Mgr. Matěj Beránek, PhD. The pupils also had the chance to experience an interesting discussion with the head of the Holocaust Museum in Sereď by Dr. Martin Curčok, PhD., Who drew near the lives of people, not only from the camp. Subsequently, the pupils went through a tour of the museum area under the guidance of Mgr. Kristián Horváth, who introduced the history of the work and concentration camp in Seredi. This excursion has brought our pupils closer to our knowledge, but the more tragic events of our past, which should never be repeated. In the last week of October, pupils of the 4th year took part in an excursion at the Observatory in KOS Nitra. They met with the master of the observer who told them interesting information about the solar system, the space pioneers, and showed them the telescopic telescope that they could not observe the night sky but they clearly saw the chapel on Calvary. It was a great experience.

On Monday, October 22, 2018, FIDLIKANTI folkloric band was among the students of the first grade. At this small educational concert, pupils had the opportunity to learn Slovak traditional folk instruments (fujara, ending, drumbha, gay, whistle, violin, cimbalom) of dances, customs and games. On October 19th, 2018, the quarterlies met the Katka beehive, who talked about their work-the bee-keeping. She explained to the children the importance of this work not only for humanity but also for bee communities themselves. The talk took place within the framework of the "Hovorme o firle" project, where the daily theme was sugars, fats and salt. The quarters have learned about various types of sugars, and the mistress explained to them that the healthiest sweetener is honey as a bee product. She told them everything about honey production and other bee products with an emphasis on human health. Finally, the pupils worked out a secret and a worksheet, summarizing the knowledge of beekeeping. The reward was tea with the medicine from the mistress of Katka and Turkish honey
On October 12, 2018, 3rd and 3rd grade pupils took part in an excursion at the Baka farm during a healthy diet week. The pupils learned a lot of valuable information about the care of calves and cows. They had the opportunity to see how calves and cows live on the farm. Naturally, they did not know how much cows did. They visited the parlor where the whole process is running. Children liked it very much. Well, of course, they also took off the reward in the form of vanilla.
The pupils of the VII.B class were selected for an excursion to Bratislava on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. They joined the National Bank of Slovakia, where they became acquainted not only with the history of the euro, but they could experience and become familiar with the currency of Europe today through the exhibition From the Crown to the Euro. The Bratislava wandering also introduced them to the Slovak National Gallery, where they saw two exceptional exhibitions - Eighth / August 68, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the occupation of Czechoslovakia by the Soviet Army and the FILLA - FULL exhibition: Fate of the Artist / Fate of the Artist to the 100th Anniversary of Czechoslovakia. Motivating people to move and healthy lifestyle, this is the main goal of the European Week of Sport that took place in Slovakia and in 37 other European countries from 23rd to 30th September 2018. The coordinator of the project is the National Sports Center. According to the Eurobarometer survey of 2017, very few Europeans are moving regularly. Nearly 60% do not practice or promote at all. On 21st September 2018, pupils of the IX.B class of the European Mobility Week (ETM) poll were organized. This week was focused on the challenge of limiting emissions from transport. Through the poll, the pupils tried to raise awareness and explore the extent to which people control this issue. They wanted to find out how the pupils, their parents and the staff of our school are, in terms of day-to-day transport. They found that the most frequent means of transport were cars and walking. Another kind of transport is a bus and some people ride on bicycles, scooters and skates. The results of the poll can be seen on the wall in the school's vestibule. We hope that we have given you with a questionnaire of our ninth class for at least a moment to think about how we could get our air less polluted. More info on photo album ...
The Slovak Environmental Agency (SAŽP), the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, coordinates the program of the EUROPEAN WEEK OF MOBILITY (ETM) at national level.
The ETM runs every year from 16th to 22nd September and allows cities or municipalities to explore sustainable transport alternatives. By motivating individuals to choose sustainable modes of transport, such as public transport, walking or cycling, we can reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, and make the city's places more enjoyable for living and working. The theme of ETM 2018 is "COMBINATION AND CHOICE!". In promoting this theme, emphasis is placed on achieving the goal of travel, often at lower costs for both the individual and society than with the use of a private vehicle. Today, September 19th, 2018, members of the Nitra wrestling club were presented to our first classes. They showed the children how they were practicing, what wrestling techniques they trained, but mainly explained to everyone that the wrestling is sport, not a battle, and how the wrestler has to behave. On September 3rd, 2018, we opened a new school year 2018/2019. Newcomers in first classes welcomed in a 9th grade pupils with teachers, together with our headteacher ,Mrs. Mgr. Helena Babusikova.
